How to Invest in a Front Projection Television

The front projection television is manufactured by many large television designers, many of whom currently market both rear and front projections.  There are two competing technologies in the front projection television - DLP (digital laser projection ) and LCD projection.  These methods have come to replace the CRT projector that we are accustomed to and remains the primary technology for the rear projection televisions.

Most consumer’s purpose for owning a front projection television nowadays is to get the in-home, big screen television with high-tech sound and picture without going broke.  As the retail value of projection televisions dropped a not too long ago, many people made note of the lower prices and ran out and purchased these projection units.  People who, a few years earlier, would never have been able to afford a big screen TV could now do so.  The front projection television continues to be more sensibly priced than the large, flat paneled LCD televisions, despite the fact that the flat screen televisions are can be found for lower prices.

We now have several television makers that currently build and sell front projection televisions.  They include Mitsubishi, RCA, JVC and Panasonic, to name a few.  Many retailers usually describe front projection televisions as laser TV or home theaters.  As you are shopping for that new front projection television, you ought to know the available technologies.  There are pros and cons with LCD projection televisions and in DLP projection.

The LCD projector is more compact than the standard CRT and uses a chip which is replaceable.  One drawback is that they are not as thin as the diminutive DLP projection televisions, the viewing angles limit your seating options and these televisions exhibit what some in the industry have nicknamed the "screen door effect" which means that the program you are watching seems to have a black grid over it, as though you were watching it through a screen door. That effect happens because the viewer are able to see black spaces between the pixels
DLP projectors are the most up-to-date technology as it applies to front projection televisions.

DLP technology makes it possible for the televisions to be thinner than the LCD televisions and depict a clearer picture.  The colors can be more diverse and the definition is greater.  DLP televisions can be more expensive to maintain because you must purchase a projection lamp after about 7 years, but DLP technology will prove to be the wave of the future regarding front projection television.

For those who are interested in projection televisions, the best technology is the CRT projector or the DLP projector.  A few makers have come up with cheaper versions of this kind of technology, but are still relying on CRT or DLP technology to run the machine.  The DLP technology is considered to be the better product for the purpose of sales because consumers will gravitate toward televisions that will be less bulky than previous televisions.  While the DLP front projection television sets are too bulky to be suspended from a wall, they remain remarkably lighter and thinner than large screen televisions of the past.

Best method of printing artwork?

I use photoshop/illustrator in my spare time and wanted to get some of my work printed. They're a mixture of vector/photos/illustrations, so a bit of everything, but I know flip all about paper types and what the difference between/advantages are in printing methods. Any ideas? I want it to be around a0/a1, reasonable/high quality and cheap. Is it best to go digital laser, offset, screen print or something I haven't mentioned? Thanks in advance.

a lot of companies are offering good quality ink jet printing now which can be done a one off or small runs and the papers are easily adaptable to the type of art eg. glossy for photos textured for watercolours, try the classifieds in a digital camera magazine or the fine art trade guild may help
