Best Entry Level DSLR Cameras
This article talks about the kind of camera that is suitable for those wanting to start taking photography on a professional level. There are cameras that have been designated as entry level DSLR cameras and you would most probably purchase one in this range. Once you are comfortable and know how to shoot using this type then you might switch to the more advanced models.
The more advanced models usually cost slightly more than the normal range models. If you look at DSLR cameras within a particular range or category you will notice that their specifications are almost the same. So the choice that you make is usually based on preference rather than anything to do with performance capabilties.
I will however review two entry level DSLR cameras and you can choose one you like or use the information to compare with other products.
The two that I am referring to are the Canon Rebel T1i and the Canon rebel XSi. The optical image resolution and creative auto focus features result in some of the best pictures that you’ve ever taken. Their screen, mega pixel ratings and ISO settings are almost the same.
The differences that you will note between the two are that the T1i has both video and still shot mode whilst the XSi has only still shot mode. The XSi does not have creative auto focus mode which you will find in the T1i.
There are other differences between the two but they cannot be considered to be very significant in terms of performance. These extra features that the T1i has translate to a high purchase price for basically the same type of camera. Alternatively you could compare with other model entry level cameras, bearing in mind that you can find a no brand DSLR camera that performs just as good as the high brand names. Look up one of these and I am sure you will find more than one camera that you can use:
Looking for a Canon-type NB-2LH Li ion battery. Found 1200 and 1700 ma. Problems with these?
Seems as tho they would carry a charge for nearly 2x as long and be able to shoot many more picture on my Canon G7 digital.
i have tried these types of batteries, becaus ehonestly they are a heck of a lot cheaper than what Canon sells.
have found them on ebay for uunder $20
negatives
- dont charge well - charger acts goofy with one of them
- want take as many charges as the origional canon ones (still have them and they work)
positives
- they last longer and let me take more pics on one battery
- worth the expense
Kenko-Tokina exhibits mockup of image-stabilised 70-200mm F4 at CP+ (dpreview)
Kenko-Tokina will exhibit a mockup of a 70-200mm F4 telephoto zoom that
features both a ring-type ultrasonic autofocus motor and optical image
stabilization at the CP+ trade show in Japan. The AT-X Pro SD 70-200 F4 (IF)
FX will be the company's first stabilized lens, and will likely be especially
interesting to Nikon SLR users who currently have no option that's directly
comparable to Canon's popular and highly-regarded 70-200mm F4 designs. Further
details are limited, but the lens appears to feature both internal zoom and
focus mechanisms, and has a usefully-close minimum focus distance of 1m. (via
