I could not remove my key from my 2001 gmc jimmy.?
yes the car is in park. i have to use a small screwdriver in the access port to remove it. i bought a new lock assembly unit and installed it, hoping that would solve the problem, but it is still the same.what am i missing that the key wont remove normally
You might try getting a new key. Have the dealer punch it from the VIN # on the truck (Don't just copy it).
My problem was, the key had worn out and wouldn't go to ACCESSORY and had to be jiggled to start the truck.
